Thank you to my parents who read to me every night when I was younger, who taught me the importance of education, and for the million other opportunities you gave me.

Thank you to my MTC professors - specifically Dr. Mullins, Dr. Sweeney, and Dr. Monroe - who never doubted I could be a teacher even if I did. They challenged me to persevere and find my own solutions to various problems I faced in the classroom.

Thank you to Mrs. Greene, Mrs. Barnard, Mr. Williams, Mrs. Farris, Mrs. Brouks, and my other elementary/secondary teachers who inspired me as a student and were my role models in my first two years of teaching.

And finally, thank you to my friends, both inside and outside of MTC, who never judged me when I complained about my worst days of teaching but also helped me laugh about what happened within my classroom (although it may not have been funny at the time!).
